SUI PROBES FATAL TORONTO POLICE SHOOTING OF MAN AT PHARMACY

The province's Special Investigations Unit is investigating after a fatal police shooting in Toronto.
The SIU says an officer from the Toronto Police Service heard an alarm from a pharmacy and entered the building where he became involved in a confrontation with a man Saturday morning.
A shot was fired from the officer's gun and the man was wounded and died at St. Michael's Hospital.
The man's identity has not been released.
SIU forensic investigators are gathering evidence at the scene and are appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident to contact them.
The SIU is a civilian agency that investigates cases of serious injuries and deaths involving the police.
